TAR .. HEELS .... TAR .. HEELS ... TAR .. HEELS

Today we joined a group other UNC alumni at University of Portland's Merlo Field to cheer-on the women Tar Heels soccer team as they competed against the 2005 NCAA Champion Portland Pilots. [Yes, we attended a sporting event.] There were 4892 in attendance, and at least 15 were pulling for the Heels. The weather COULD NOT have been nicer and the Tar Heels prevailed (1-0)! As this article mentions, "the match marked the first time in history that Carolina has started six freshmen in a game."
