Trip to North Carolina

We traveled back to North Carolina to visit friends and family, and spend some time at Emerald Isle - Jenny's favorite place (Robert likes it too). Thanks to Katie and Noah for two nights of comfortable accomodations in Chapel Hill and the use of Katie's Camry. Our trip included spending time with Ben & Heather, Carla, Beth & Jim, and Betty & Joe. Special thanks to the Flythe's who cooked us a marvelous dinner - as usual.

While in NC we visited Beaufort, NC Aquarium at Pine Knolls Shores and ate at The Bogue House, The Fairway Restaurant, Michaelangelos Pizza, and of course Smithfild BBQ. At Spinnakers Reach we saw turtles (many), ducks, and deer. The weather was beautiful and the trees were starting to bloom.

Robert also took advantage of some time in RTP to get together with the many members of the old FullSeven team (John, Jes, Ken, Randall, James, and Barrett) - a solid group of smart and entertaining folks. For those who could make it to lunch, I look forward to catching you on my next visit. Time moves on, but this bunch of people never changes. Mabye someday we can get the band back together, because there is not substitute for working with good people (note to self: next time have more funding and revenue).

We had a great trip, and only wish we had more time to visit with many other good friends. Come visit us in Portland!
